Waldhausen Esperia Saddle Pad & Horze Soft Pile Boots (aka Trigger's Modelling Debut!)

Yesterday, Sarah finally got the chance to dress up her new horse, Trigger, in some great new gear! Trigger looked rather dashing - despite the winter woolies!

Trigger was lucky enough to score the amazing Waldhausen Esperia Saddle Pad (dressage style) in this winters hottest colour - Deep Ocean Blue. He also got the chance to try out the Horze Soft Pile Boots.

The Waldhausen Esperia Saddle Pads really are quite lovely. And clearly deep ocean blue is indeed Triggers colour! Whilst Sarah chose the convenience of boots, there is of course the opportunity to get all 'matchy matchy' with matching bandages, plus ear bonnet, halter & lead.

The Horze Soft Pile Boots were actually surprisingly good, considering their low price of just $22.00. Super soft, fleecy lined, and easy to put on and off. They are great value, and a hassle free way of providing protection from knocks and bumps (and those dorky young thoroughbred clumsy moments!).

You might also be able to see the gel pad that Trigger is wearing under the saddle. This is actually a Horze Front Riser Gel Pad. We found Trigger is a little narrower than Sarah's other horses, so needed a slight lift in the front of the saddle to balance things up (at least for Sarah's ancient, but much loved, dressage saddle). Horze have a range of lovely gel pads, in a choice of either front rise, middle rise, or back rise - which can help assist in adding comfort and providing a slight adjustment to saddle fit. Obviously these aren't going to make up for a professionally fitted saddle - but they can be a great option when you just need that minor adjustment, particularly for young and developing horses who like to change shape - and for when you just can't go out and buy a brand new saddle(!).

And so, Trigger makes his modelling debut! Such a lovely horse - with a bright future ahead (modelling and riding with any bit of luck!).
